There is a perfect eyeshadow colour out there for you, it will be the colour that suits YOUR eyes more than any other colour. It will make your eyes appear brighter, healthier and wide awake. There is a lot of misinformation aimed at women in magazines and online regarding makeup & beauty. One subject that appears in these forums on a regular basis is that of colour choice when it comes to makeup. You will read, for example, that all you have to do to choose the ideal eyeshadow colour is to determine your eye colour eg blue, green etc, pick the opposite colour on the artists' colour wheel and BINGO.... that's the colour eyeshadow for you. While this is almost correct, it's far too simplistic. Try and find Brown on an artists' colour wheel.... it's not there. And while we're on the subject... your eyes are not 'just blue' or 'just green'. There are many colours visible in the coloured part of your eyes. Not to mention that the basic theory of 'Opposite on the Colour Wheel' does not take into consideration a womans' skin colour or tone. Having worked professionally as a makeup artist in film, television and editorial for 18 years as well as being a portrait artist I can give you the actual colour theory for choosing makeup to bring out your best. I'm about to release my latest eBook 'How to Choose the Perfect Eyeshadow Colour' which is a MUST READ for makeup artists who haven't been taught colour theory or who have only touched on it in a makeup course. Colour theory is a huge subject and my aim in this eBook is to make it available to everyone. Makeup artists and the general public alike. No more confusion when it comes to choosing your colours. So if you don't want to miss out and you'd like to be the first to download the brand new eBook, email me at jennypulfer@gmail.com and you will be notified about the release. There is no pressure to buy, you will simply be sent a message letting you know the book is available for download. Please post any questions you may have regarding this blog and I will be more than happy to answer. Jenny |
